Regardless of gender, age , religion, it’s fair to say that we are all seeking for happiness.
And OMG, the state of joy we all seek is hard to come by, isn’t it?
We enjoy good weather and thriving relationships, or when we meet our goal weight. Sometimes when those things fall into place and life feels great .. for awhile
Then the weather turns and we start complaining
And we break up with our partner because he or she doesn’t meet our need
And Then we gain back those 10kgs we lost trying to self soothe our loneliness in Chocolate
We try to hold on as tightly as we can
We take vacations to seek better weather
We try to talk with our partner and if that doesn’t work we find a replacement for our partner as soon as possible
We start the newest, trendiest of the moment diet in the hope to losing that 10kgs so that we can feel better about ourselves.
We go through our day grasping on what we want with clenched fists and pushing away with everything we are adverse to with all our strengths ..
and it’s exhausting …
There are many things we can’t control. We can’t control people, our jobs are rarely perfect and the weather is frequently uncooperative. The perfect circumstances for the most part is unattainable. Even if we were able to attain it, it’s fleeing.
I personally think there’s no actually solutions to all the problems above.
Some may say, try to find inner peace, happiness from within.
Other say, learn to be in the middle and not fighting back
They also say Emotions comes and goes, just don’t fight it.
Whatever it is, I believe that each of us have gone through that exact vicious circle and then the learning and then we slipped again.
It seems like to me that we are pretty good at unhappiness not the other way around
